A 6.9/10 rating on IMDb and a 92% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes are both solid marks. This is a show I will watch, no doubt. Reviews

There’s promise in this prospective drama. Maddie looks like a woman in her thirties, but she plays a high school student in this role. She’s just not a good match for the part. The lighting in this shot is just atrocious.

Excessive use of shadows detracts from the drama and makes the production seem less professional. However, Canada has stunning natural scenery. One of the film’s highlights is Billy Baldwin, along with a few others.

He tries to lighten things up a bit on the show. An other factor keeping this downer afloat is the fact that Kathleen Robertson is such a likeable protagonist. They should have kept the mom and thrown the kids out. If more endearing actors had taken on the two female roles, this would have been that much better.
