Studio Lerche adapted the manga into a 12-episode anime series that aired in Japan between January 9 and March 26, 2020 and was licenced by Funimation for a simuldub. However,

The following paragraphs will detail all we know and don’t know about a second season of Toilet Bound Hanako-Kun. In this article, you will learn a tonne of interesting information about this exciting anime series, including when it might be released, if there is a trailer, and what it might be about.

Toilet Bound Hanako-Kun Season 2: Confirmed Premiere Date

Each episode of the first season of Toilet Bound Hanako-Kun aired in Japan between January 9 and March 26, 2020, and ran for about 25 minutes. Many fans wonder if Toilet Bound Hanako-Kun will return for a second season, but at this time, there has been no official confirmation of this.

Since the first season adapted just about 7 volumes of the manga and there are currently 16 volumes published with more on the way, we think it is a very probable contender for a renewal.

Given the success of the manga, we may assume that a second season of Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun will be produced at some point in the future; however, we cannot predict when.

The most recent volume of the original manga was released in September 2021, and fresh chapters have been released regularly since then.

Less than half of the books have been adapted so far, so there is still a long way to go. Now, given the show’s apparent success, we anticipate a second season of Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun, though not until late 2022 or, more likely, 2023.

Toilet Bound Hanako-Kun Season 2: Plot

There needs to be a complete plot assessment before we can even begin to think about the storylines for a second season. Since only a fraction of the manga’s story was included in the first season of the anime, we’ll have to break down the whole shebang so you know what to expect. So, tell me, what ends up happening?

Seven mysterious apparitions, or “school mysteries,” have been documented at Kamome High School. Among these is the supposedly wish-granting but prohibitively expensive Toilet Bound Hanako-Kun.

Because her crush doesn’t give a damn about her, Nene Yashiro visits the ladies’ room in the old school wing and conjures up Hanako.

It turns out that the ghost is not a female as was previously believed, but rather a passionate and cheeky young man. Before Yashiro helps himself to his magical implements, he just offers her basic, daily advice.

By doing so, she attracts the wrath of a mermaid, in whose service she must now function as a fish. However, Hanako uses his latent abilities to vanquish the sea creature.

But Yashiro must now serve him as payment. From that point on, she stands at his side as one of the seven mysteries of the academy, tasked with keeping an eye on all the other spirits.

Yashiro, being human, can alter the rumours about the spirits and, by extension, their conduct, while Hanako can only transport the other spirits to the afterlife.

The youthful exorcist K Minamoto, tasked with expelling Hanako, will soon join them. Minamoto believes he is a malicious spirit because he is the ghost of a murderer who still carries the bloody knife and employs it in combat.

But as a punishment for his role in taming the ghosts of the school, Hanako was made to pay a hefty fine. Furthermore, he can easily triumph over Minamoto.

But he continues to be close by Yashiro and the spirit, helping them out with various jobs.

K learns that Hanako works to maintain harmony between the spirit world and the human world at school, in contrast to Teru Minamoto, K’s older brother and a seasoned exorcist who is well-liked by the student body but views all spirits as bad and wants to drive them out.

The other school mysteries back Hanako up in this, but they can’t seem to keep themselves under control.

It turns out that Hanako’s twin brother Tsukasa — the same one she killed while going by the name Amane — was behind a series of occurrences at the school.

Tsubasa is a sadist and a brute who, instead of promoting peace on campus, simply wants to let everyone do whatever they choose.

When he grants the wishes of spirits, he corrupts them into dangerous, wicked monsters. Sakura Nanamine and Natsuhiko Hyga, two fellow students and members of the school radio club, back him up in his efforts to control the spread of ghost rumours.

Through his efforts to help the ghost of his old, lonesome classmate Ssuke Mitsuba cross over into the next world, K befriends Mitsuba’s spirit.

However, Tsukasa gets in the way, and Ssuke ends up playing the role of Mystery No. 3 after initially becoming an evil spirit. He follows the group surrounding Tsukasa from then on, despite his continued yearning to be human and to find companions.
