Gucci Mane whose real name is Radric Davis an American rapper who has a net worth of $12 million. Gucci Mane started writing poetry as a child and then switched to rapping around the age of 14. He helped pioneer the hip hop subgenre of trap music alongside Atlanta-based rappers T.I. and Young Jeezy, in the 2000s and 2010s. He released his debut album in 2005 named the ‘Trap House’.

He then quickly released ‘Hard to Kill’ and ‘Back to the Trap House’ in 2006 and 2007 respectively. Mane was 1st introduced to rapping by his elder half-brother, Victor, who brought him to a Run-DMC, Beastie Boys, and LL Cool J concert. He was arrested in 2001 for the possession of crack cocaine and was detained for 90 days. It is during, after that time, that he took music seriously.

Radric Delantic Davis was born on February 12, 1980 in Bessemer, Alabama, United States to former U.S serviceman and powerplant worker, Ralph Everett Dudley and social worker Vicky Jean Davis. Davis’ family had a strong military background. His paternal grandfather served in the army for 12 years including the World War 2, where he worked as a chef and his maternal grandfather served in the Pacific during the World War 2.

His father also served in the army, where he was stationed in South Korea. When Davis was born, his father was continuously in the run from police for dealing in crack cocaine and heroin. Davis’ father was not present to sign on his birth certificate, so he took his mother’s last name. Davis moved to Atlanta when he was 9-years old in 1989 due to family problems. He was a drug dealer in the school.
