Adele Laurie Blue Adkins was born on 5 May, 1988 in Tottenham, North London, England to an English mother, Penny Adkins, and a Welsh father, Marc Evans. Her parents separated when she was just 2. She was raised by her mother. She started singing at the age of 4. She later confessed that she became addicted to voices at the same age.
At the age of 9, she and her mother moved to Brighton, the east part of London. She spent majority of her youth in Brockwell Park, where she used to play guitar and sing songs to her friends. She admitted that in 2015, when she was driving past the same location, she just “literally burst into tears.” She still admits that school played a major part in her development of music.
