Given that Season 9 will be the end of the long-running series, all of the major characters who are still living should get their day in the spotlight.
Inmates including Rita Connors (Leah Purcell), Susan “Boomer” Jenkins (Katrina Milosevic), Ruby Mitchell (Rarriwuy Hick), Marie Winter (Susie Porter), and others may make an appearance.
A number of incarcerated officials, including Vera Bennett (Kate Atkinson), Will Jackson (Robbie J. Magasiva), and Jake Stewart (Bernard Curry), are expected to make a return appearance. Lou Kelly (Kate Box) and Reb Keane (Zoey Terakes) are two new characters who will no doubt become integral to the story.
Being the final season, it would make sense for many of the show’s previous characters to make a return appearance. After all, Season 7’s finale revealed that the murderous ex-governor Joan Ferguson (Pamela Rabe) had survived being buried alive, and now she’s back for Season 8 to cause havoc.
Anyone’s guess as to whether or not she’ll be able to come back. Joan’s sworn adversary and the show’s original protagonist, Bea Smith, may return in some capacity even though she was killed off at the end of Season 4.
Season 10 of Wentworth: What Happened Then?
Our curiosity was sparked during the first couple of seasons, and it was maintained as the show got better with each new season.
The drama within the prison got much better as it went on. By the time the ninth season rolled around, the drama had built to the point where viewers had a hard time accepting that the show was actually coming to an end.
There is a lot of anticipation among fans to find out if there will be any more. Unfortunately, after so many exciting episodes, we have to break the news that the show is cancelling.

For Those Curious About Wentworth Season 9, what can You Tell Us About the Story?
Since this will be the final season of “Wentworth,” expect a lot of endings (but not without some dramatic twists and turns) when it premieres, possibly right where Season 8 left off.
Allie Novak’s (Kate Jenkinson) storyline with Season 8 newbie and dangerous cyber-terrorist Judy Bryant is likely to be the most pressing (Vivienne Awosoga).
In Season 8, Judy takes Lou’s money and orchestrates the murder of a high-ranking US official, before stabbing Allie in the bathtub at the season’s end. The situation with Allie will likely be a major plot point in Season 9.

It would be interesting to see who stands up to Judy, despite her intimidating intensity, because if even a fraction of her misdeeds are uncovered, she will be in serious danger.
A major plot point will likely revolve around what happens to Joan Ferguson, the show’s most archetypical villain. Season 8’s ending hints that “The Freak” will be a major player in Season 9, and her reappearance is significant throughout the season.
With Joan holding grudges against everyone, the last season of “Wentworth” is bound to be intense.
