When is Season 2 of Tokyo Revengers Coming Out

Over 65 million copies of the Tokyo Revengers manga have been sold throughout the world, and the series was just named the Best Shonen Manga at the 44th annual Kodansha Manga Awards.

It was inevitable that Liden Films would adapt the work of Ken Wakui into an anime, and so it came as no surprise that Tokyo Revengers became one of the most popular anime of 2021.

Premiering in April of 2021, the first season consisted of 24 episodes. To save his middle school sweetheart from being murdered, protagonist Takemichi Hanagaki journeys back in time.

He needs to go back in time and work his way up the ranks of the Tokyo Manji Gang to do this (Toman). You may watch Tokyo Revengers, Season 1 on Crunchyroll if you wish to see or revisit the story for yourself.

After the shocking conclusion of Season 1, viewers have been clamouring for more. As a result, in December of 2021, it was revealed that Tokyo Revengers would be returning for a second season. When will the second season of Tokyo Revengers be available to watch?

When will the Season 2 of Tokyo Revengers be Available?

Season 2 of Tokyo Revengers will premiere in January 2023. The actual air date was not specified, only the calendar month and year. Nonetheless, January of next year can serve as a benchmark.

The same animation studio, Liden Films, will animate Season 2. Season 1 has 24 episodes, while Season 2’s episode count has not yet been revealed. Twelve episodes is a safe bet, given the upcoming arc is roughly the same length as the Valhalla arc.

The Black Dragon Arc/Christmas Showdown Arc will be adapted for season two. It covers the manga up to Chapter 121, so if you want to check it out for yourself, that’s what it’ll cover. Since the Valhalla storyline was abruptly cut off at the end of Season 1, you may want to jump in at Chapter 74.

In the final episode of the season, Kazutora rescued Takemechi just in time to save his life before he was shot. While on the run, he tells Takemechi that Mikey’s influence caused Toman to turn evil.

Takemechi was detained later that night by none other than Naoto. In an interrogation chamber, he shows him how his decisions from the past have affected the present and future.

In this version of events, Takemichi finds out that he, too, turned wicked. This time, it was he who gave the order for Hina to be killed. He shakes hands with Naoto again, this time in a dejected attempt to undo the past and make things right.

Takemichi’s goal in travelling back in time is to halt a confrontation between Toman and Black Dragon. But he learns that Toman’s Second Division Vice-Captain Hakkai Shiba is being coerced into serving with the Black Dragons.

Hakkai has been revealed to be Taiju’s younger brother, and he follows the commands of his violent older sibling. Takemichi now understands that the bleak future he foresaw is due to the Hakkai’s decision to join Black Dragon.
