Durk D. Banks, also known by his stage name Lil Durk was born in Chicago, Illinois on 19th October 1992. His father was in prison when the artist was just seven months old.
Durk got his first break for his songs through social media. Durk went to Paul Roberson High School. At the age of 17, he became a father after which he left his school. Later he joined a street gang in Chicago called Black Disciples.
